Recipe for Lower back Pain - Huiji Flavoured Chicken

Chicken – 1 bird , (washed, chopped into pieces)
Salt – ½ tsp
Ground Pepper – ½ tsp
Cinnamon Powder – 1/2 tbsp
Shallot & Garlic – 5 cloves each (minced)
Cinnamon Stick – 10g
Ginger – 2 slices
Gula Melaka – 50g
Huiji Waist Tonic – 1 – 2 cups (Huiji measuring cup)


  1. Wash chicken well, chop into pieces, drain from water, mix well with salt, ground pepper and cinnamon powder to marinate for 1 hour
  2. Heat up 2 tbsp of oil, saute shallot, garlic, cinnamon and ginger
  3. Add in chopped chicken pieces, stir fry well till aromatic
  4. Mix in gula melaka
  5. Cover with lid, simmer over low flame for 20 mins till cooked, turn off fire (during simmering process, open lid in between time to stir fry for 1 – 2 times, to prevent chicken from sticking to the bottom of wok)
  6. Mix in 1 -2 cups of Huiji Waist Tonic, serve
